📝 Ingredients:
-
1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
 -
¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
 -
¾ cup (165g) packed brown sugar
 -
2 tsp vanilla extract
 -
2 large eggs
 -
2 ½ cups (315g) all-purpose flour
 -
1 tsp baking soda
 -
½ tsp salt
 -
2 cups (340g) chocolate chips
 -
1 cup (100g) chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

👩🍳 Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
 -
Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together in a large bowl until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
 -
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
 -
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
 -
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
 -
Fold in the chocolate chips (and nuts if using).
 -
Scoop the dough using a tablespoon or cookie scoop and place dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets. Leave some space between each cookie as they will spread while baking.
 -
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden, but the centers are still soft.
 -
Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
